In my opinion, Doom 3 is a fantastic sounding game. Absolutely tons of atmosphere, and top notch audio makes it genuinely scary.
The gun shown here isn’t that powerful. When designing sounds for an array of weapons, the designer must be careful to make the weapon sound fit in, in relation to all other weapons.
I completely disagree with HKU student’s opinion, and no, I didn’t do the audio for this game, although I would have liked to.
