No doubt that the music and sound effects are decent in HoMM5, as they have been in all the HoMM games, but the Voice acting is terrible. I have been playing the first chapter of the SP game and the queen/princess character sounds like she has a speech impediment, mindlessly droning off lines with no intrest or feeling.
