Game Title: Guild Wars 2
Your name: Ruben Ulfman
Pretty or ugly: ugly
Description:
While Guild Wars 2 is in many ways an excellent game and a debatable advancement in the MMORPG-genre, when it comes to audio there's some weird things going on. From lazy voice-acting to straight up glitches. This is just one of the many annoying audio bugs, where the game simply can't handle the large amount of sounds it generates in a WvW (big player versus player) battle, and simply crashes.

I really like this game, but Ashley is SO annoying (and her voice makes it even worse).
She keeps calling you throughout the whole game, it gets very repetitive. Ashley is worse than Navi from Zelda.

Game Title: Dance Central 2

Description:
I think the voice acting in dance central 2 is really bad. Especially in the dutch version, but I couldn't find it on youtube. The english version I also find really bad though. It sounds so fake and as if they are trying so hard to be cool. They talk like your grandma trying to talk slang. The dutch version also really sounds really like a bad voice-over. I like the game, but every time they talk it kind of ruins it for me.

Description:
Besides that this is an absolutely ridiculous game its audio is annoying as hell.
The sound does not fit the images on the screen and on top of that cannot decide wether it wants to be anime or hack'n'slash. So it tries to be sarcastic about both genres and mixes chainsaw sound elements with glittery achievement feedback and adds a typical "everything is awesome" highschool teenage girl's voice on top of everything. Since that does not seem to be enough punishment they add a head, that is hanging on the characters belt, constantly making unnecessary, non relating nor funny remarks during the fight sessions and leaves me only with one question: why?!

Description:
This is the intro song of skyrim. When you start up the game this is the first thing you hear. I think the song captures the mood of the game very nicely, and when I hear this song I just get all excited about playing the game. It gives you this epic heroistic feeling. Most of the time I just let the song play for a while before I actually start the game.

Game Title: Read Dead Redemption
Your name: Fleur Baltes

Description:
"Natural background sounds" such as the birds in the sky, the horse galopping, people talking, a bar piano, wind blowing or crickets chirring in combination with the subtle overlay of a western movie score really creates a unique atmosphere that immediately sucks the player into this world.
Also in the beginning of this clip you have an element where the screen changes in color and a sound that reminds me of being underwater blurrs over the background sounds which add to the playing experience by supporting the feeling of being highly focused and sharp of the surroundings.

Description:
This is a great example from one of the voice over bugs in Guild wars 2 even though this one is still from the beta, it's still a pretty common error in the game that characters have the wrong voices.

Description:
I think that the game audio of LA noire is pretty amazing, not only the background music really sets the mood but the voice overs and environmental sounds really finnish the job.

Game Title: Mc Pixel
Your name: Inmgar uit de Bso
Pretty or ugly: ugly
Description:
McPixel is not only terrible in graphical quality but also completely lacking audio design. There is only background 'music' which if played on a toaster would sound better. Of course this is just my opinion, but the lack of audio feedback is just plain bad. The background music itself doesn't really loop, as there is a noticeable gap each time it loops.

Game Title: Abe's Oddysee
Your name: Ingmar uit de Bos
Pretty or ugly: pretty
Description:
This game has such an excellent sound design that it is possible (of course with some trail and error) to play this game blind, even though it has similarities to a platformer and has some location-based puzzles. Everything you do and the world does makes a sound, much like the real world does, which makes this possible.
