X-COM Enforcer is goed voorbeeld van slechte sound de de spelervaring kan verpesten. De kwaliteit is niet alleen vrij laag en pijnlijk voor de oren, de comments van Professor Able Standard zijn ook nog is bijhoorlijk "over the top" en vervelend geacteerd.

De geluiden door het hele spel heen klinken sowieso vrij beroerd, maar wat echt tenenkrommend ergerlijk is, zijn de stemmen. De voice-acting in het spel is echt zo gruwelijk slecht dat het eigenlijk grappig is.
Daarbuiten heeft het spel zelf vrijwel geen geluid, wat op zich ook best slecht is.

Game sounds in football games have really come a long way! The commentary is done really very well. The timing of speech is ok and the way phrases sound after one another is almost realistic. Also the crowds make a sound that is specific to the teams that are playing, which adds to the realistic feel of the game.

The commentators phrasing is just terrible! It really sounds like separate soundbites. Also the acoustics are way off. Not convincing.
The sounds the crowd makes is just a wall of white noise. Also there is a whistle in the crowd that really sticks out and becomes very annoying, on the other hand i have laughed at that particular sound countless times.

From 0:55 the "crow" sound really gets to much. I think it gets irritating after some repeats and it doesn't sound like a "beast" but more like a crow getting shot in the air. I think they should have used a more subtile sound instead of this one.

When you use Adrenaline in the game Alien Swarm a very fitting soundtrack starts playing.
The reason i find this fitting is because it fits exectly with the other soundtracks playing at the time. (so it can be switched on any moment)
It really represents the slowmotion feel you experience ingame.

Hoewel ik normaal gesproken de voorkeur geef aan muzikale thema's, viel deze game juist op door de afwezigheid daarvan. De complete soundtrack bestaat uit atmosferische geluiden die redelijk op de achtergrond liggen. Er wordt een constante suspense gecreeerd waardoor plotselinge sound effects er extra hard in knallen, zoals in het filmpje bij de HOTEL-letters.
