Magali again, the video didn't work in my last post, hopefully this works.

The part I want to talk about is from 0:35 to 1:10.
It's the music played in the safe room. The music has a very eerie, but also warm feeling. It makes me really feel safe when I play Resident Evil and this music starts playing. Also, the sound effects used for the typewriter give me a comfortable feeling. The designers thought about making this type of room feel safe.

This game has sounds that are not balanced out. Nor sound good. The character just screams out and the background music is way too hard. All seems really out of tune.

This game totally gets me creeping out due to the sound! Everytime a monster attacks or is close, the music gets more tense. Also the overal sound effects and music are well done and add to the experience.

Game Title: Runescape

The sound is no exception to the horrible quality of this game. Some of the sounds don't even make any sense regarding the action that's done by the player.

I also saw another video of 'updated' sounds of Runescape, and when a player kicked a chicken, it sounded like a cardboard box. The poor sounds can actually be pretty hilarious at some points.

The thing that makes Bastion a unique game is the interactive voice-over of the game that comments on the gameplay, the background story and reacts on what you're doing at that time. This really enhances the atmosphere.

Hier vind ik de muziek echt totaal misplaatst. Je staat op het punt om te verdrinken en je doet er alles aan om te overleven, maar de muziek doet alsof er niets aan de hand is. Ik vind het dus veel te vrolijk voor de situatie waar je in zit.

Ik vind het nummer dat in het begin wordt afgespeeld hier erg goed. Zeker omdat dit een stukje is waar je achtervolgt wordt, vind ik de muziek er erg goed bij passen.

Monster Hunter is about the player hunting a series of progressively bigger and more imposing monsters. Musical stingers are used to let the player know if a monster can see him etc., and each monster has his own theme-song.

Monster cries can be used to identify a monsters health or status, and sometimes tip off attacks its going to perform.
For instance, the bird monster from the movie actually mimics the cries of other monsters to summon them. The player can listen and identify these to properly prepare for what's to come.

Game Title: Deadly Premonition

Description:
Deadly Premonition is supposed to be a serious, dark mystery game.
However, the sometimes terrible voice acting, unfitting background music, and messed up audio levels all work together to make some of the cutscenes in the game almost unbearable.
