Gods & Generals

Game Title: Gods & Generals
Your name: Alexander Sarton
Pretty or ugly: Ugly
Description:
At first i hear the same music all the time no matter what happens in the game. As if it is very exciting in the game even when nothing is happening. Next to that the sounds of the guns and walking of the character give me the feeling these are just recorded sounds in different environments which have been put together without editing anything. As if they don not fit together.

Battlefield 3

Game Title: Battlefield 3
Your name: Alexander Sarton
Pretty or ugly: Pretty
Description:
In this trailer I never got the feeling there is something wrong with the sound. Everything that happens around you has it's own sound, and next to that there is also put alot of effort in background sounds. Also the sounds feel right and sound as you expect too.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney

Game Title: Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney
Your name: Roy de Treek
Pretty or ugly: Pretty
Description:
Phoenix Wright displays what in my opinion is the best alternative to voice-acting. The sound of every word in the dialogue is unique to the character and therefore every character sounds different. They brilliantly give characters 'voices' without resorting to voice-acting. This is in my opinion one of the best uses of game audio I've ever heard.

Chaos Wars

Game Title: Chaos Wars
Your name: Roy de Treek
Pretty or ugly: Ugly with a capital U.
Description:
Some of the most bland voice acting I've ever heard. It's so monotonous, that the otherwise perhaps funny dialogue sound bland and makes you want to put the game down.
To illustrate my point, just watch the video without the sound on and the dialogue doesn't sound half as bad (it's still pretty bad dialogue though).

Halo 1

Game Title: Halo 1
Your name: Robin Bosma
Pretty or ugly: Pretty
Description:
This game uses every sound effectively to indicate which of the many dangers threatens the player. He or she can hear a plasma pistol being shot and still distinguish the sound of flood closing in on him/her. Apart from that, the voice acting makes the player do what the game wants him/her to do. The apparent fear in the voice tells the player that staying around isn't probably the smartest thing to do.

Halo 1

Game Title: Halo 1
Your name: Tim Nelemans
Pretty or ugly: pretty
Description:
I've always loved the halo games. It's what I grewup with. It wasn't only the story and the action that I liked it also had this other feeling to it that atracted me. The atmosfer was perfect every time, when you were in al large open erea, it was quite but not in a way that you couldn't hear enny thing. You could hear your enemies scream and the buzz of enemy vehicals or aircraft aproting. And in ereas where the was a lot of action or something emotional was happaning the music steped in and made it even beter. Even now when I listen back to the soundtracks of Halo it bring up all those memories and feelings.

Twilight Princess

Game Title: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Your name: Luc van de Mortel
Pretty or ugly: PRETTY!
