Game Title: Mirror's edge
Your name: Lars HKU
Pretty or ugly: Pretty
Description:
The sounds are very athmospheric. The city SFX (car horns etc) blend in this perfectly. The whole thing together makes you feel like you're dreaming. I could imagine you feeling that same thing if you're running on top of buildings like these.

The character selection screen music is just terrible. An eight second loop get's annoying really fast.

Game Title: Bevis and Butthead
Your name: Mitchell Karna
Pretty or ugly: Ugly
Description:
The game is okey, but the sound makes it bad. The voice is recorded badly, and when they speak they make weird moans. The background music also makes it unpleasant to play the game, because it doesn't fit. The composition and design of the sound is pretty bad.

Game Title: Pokemon

Description:
The tune is really high and gives me a really bad headache when as listen to it for to long. It is just as annoying as the high sound they use to get rid of the birds in a certain area.

Game Title: Heavy Rain
Your name: Chiel Brand
Pretty or ugly: Pretty
Description:
This is the scene where Ethan loses his son Jason in the mall. He tries to find him in the crowd and keeps screaming Jasons name. While you are looking for Jason, the music gets more dramatic. The beat of the music raises your heartbeat and you actually feel that you lost Jason and you are trying to find him.

Game Title: Robot unicorn Attack
Your name: Jethro Jongeneel
Pretty or ugly: Ugly
Description:
First time playing this game you'll find the soundtrack rather catching.
But I can tell you, when someone, who's in the same room as you are, plays this game for more than an hour, with sound, you'll go nuts.
This old classic by Erasure is looped forever… and ever.
Always this song is gonna be with you… ARGH!

Game Title: Penumbra
Your name: Astrid Huntjens
Pretty or ugly: Pretty
Description:
Penumbra has a very strong use of audio, because what you hear is correct: you hear the right sound when opening a door, or when moving a mattress. It's really important to have audio that's recognizable, because if it sounds too different from what you're used to, you won't take the game too seriously. I know I would not. I'm scared to death when I play Penumbra because the sounds, and also the ambient music/sound, sounds so real, and scary. The experience would be so different if the sounds were plain stupid/irritating. It wouldn't scare me that much anymore.

Game Title: Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon
Your name: Hung Pham
Pretty or ugly: Ugly
Description:
Wow, where to start. The first thing you will notice is the music, it totally does not enhance your gaming experience. It's the same beat over and over again, it drives you nuts. The sounds effects are even worse. Every kill is the same sound, and that's for every creature. A swordslash sounds like a small fart or something and exploding bomb sound they really have a bad day.

Game Title: Tomcat Alley
Your name: Tom Weeland
Pretty or ugly: Ugly
Description:
Go to 3 minutes in the clip for some gameplay. The sounds themselves aren't that bad at all, especially not considering this game is from 1993. But there is so much background noise which can really become irritating after a while. Especially the loud static whenever you press the fire button and the loud beep in between movies. Apart from that I love this game though. Had good times with it back when I was little.
