Sims (all)

Game Title: Sims (all)
Your name: Bram
Pretty or ugly: Ugly
Description: I still don’t know what i must think of this game audio. It’s to generic. It’s doesn’t contribute to the gameplay and doesn’t set a setting or feeling. It’s just there making noise. Its just annoying. I wish they had put some more attention to the music because you arer not doing anything in this game. So some good music would be nice. .

Monkey Island 3

Game Title: Monkey Island 3
Your name: Bram
Pretty or ugly: Pretty ofcourse:S
Description: Yea…well the title says it all. this is one of the best soundtracks ever made. The first second the game starts the intro and you hear the music playing. It instantly gets you in that state of juggling some coconuts, eating some bananas, solving some weird ass puzzles. that you know you're gonna like. .

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat

Game Title: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Your name: Maarten van Ruitenbeek
Pretty or ugly: Pretty
Description: The music in this game isn't really great, but it fits the picture perfectly. Music really keeps you going and makes you excited about playing on. Fast paced at the right times, and the clapping and drumming makes you feel like you are actually playing a rhythm game, while your not. Great! .

Black and White 2

Game Title: Black and White 2
Your name: Maarten van Ruitenbeek
Pretty or ugly: Ugly
Description: Could have been so much more, controls not working properly and no multiplayer! Music sounds too calm, never really pumps you up with adrenaline even when you're attacking. Doesnt really add anything but making you feel distant from the game. .

Spore

Game Title: Spore
Your name: Paul Konings
Pretty or ugly: Ugly
Description: The audio overall is hectic and constantly changing depending on how far you're zoomed in.

The alien voices are often too high pitched and keep saying the exact same thing over and over again, causing me to turn it off in the options menu.

Other audio effects are too intrusive and keep repeating themselves, like the radar or scanner sound effects. .

Homeworld

Game Title: Homeworld
Your name: Paul Konings
Pretty or ugly: Pretty
Description: The audio is very serene and non-intrusive which fits the slow paced gameplay and normally silent vacuum of space.

The general music also fits this description, but the icing on the cake is Samuel Barber's Agnus Dei, the Choral version of Adagio for Strings. This dramatic score is used during pivotal scenes throughout the game and adds tremendously to the dramatic events in the story. .

Metroid Prime

Game Title: Metroid Prime
Your name: Tim S
Pretty or ugly: Pretty!
Description: Because I can, here's the music from Metroid Prime on Gamecube. For me still the best menu-music I have ever heard.

The entire tracks screams Metroid; the subtle 'crackling' sound-effects on the background and the overall use of 'instruments' (or what do you call it)

Epic. .

Conker

Game Title: Conker
Your name: Tim S
Pretty or ugly: Both!
Description: Yes, you read it right; this clip includes both bad and good videogame sounds… or… so I think at least. The game is Conker's Bad Fur-Day for the N64 (so not the remake on Xbox!) and just for the record, it's an awesome game.

The good part of the audio is the voices on their own (except the haystacks) they fit with the characters perfectly and the voice-acting on it's own is brilliant.

The bad part is the voice of the haystacks (small and big) they are really rediculous like some guy is lowering his voice to sound tough but failing at it. Something else to note about the voice-acting is that it sounds as if it's recorded with a cheap headset or something.

Other bad part is the sound effects, at least in this clip. The repetitive 'splash'-sound from the paint is rather annoying, also the sounds used for the door closing (and bar blocking it) are kind of… bad… .
